Booking Appointments

We are taking clients by appointment only at this time. The best ways to book with us are as Follows:

  • Through our website
  • Texting (207) 424-1001 (Save this number as a new way to correspond with us.)
  • Through direct messages on social media, Facebook and Instagram.
  • Rebooking at your next appointment. We will not be rebooking during cash out at this time. Please rebook using one of the 3 methods above or let your stylist know you are flexible and we will rebook you at the end of the day based on your previous booking schedule.
  • Book ahead. If you would like to make standing appointments with your stylist please contact us with your booking preferences.

Before Your Appointment

Prior to your appointment, you must complete our Covid-19 Release Form. You can also access this form below. This must be completed within 48 hours of your appointment time. You will receive the link as a part of your reminder/confirmation text message. This must be completed before each scheduled appointment until further notice.

*NOTE: We are not currently booking appointments for children 12 years old and younger. Due to capacity limitations, children over the age of 12 must be able to enter the building and go through all safety procedures without being accompanied by a parent or guardian. No guests will be allowed to enter the building while you are receiving services. We have designated times for our clients who fall into a “high risk” group. If you would like to be serviced during this time please contact us with this request. Thank you for understanding.

Arrive at your appointment with clean, dry hair. Your hair does not need to be styled but if you are receiving a haircut please leave your hair down or tied back loosely. We ask that you leave all non-essential items at home or inside your car. Anything that cannot be kept on your person while being serviced should not be brought inside. Your stylist may ask you to leave additional items in your car before entering the building as we will not have a place to store items such as jackets and handbags. Please plan for this accordingly. We are not responsible for the security of items left inside of your vehicle.

*NOTE: If you would like to use your cell phone during processing time please let your stylist know and we will provide you with a disinfecting wipe and hand sanitizer.

When You Arrive

We will not have seating in our retail space for you to wait until your scheduled appointment. Please wait in your vehicle or outside at the entrance of the business. Make sure to maintain a 6 foot distance from the door and from other clients at all times.

The restroom at Blush will be available for hand washing and emergency use only. Please understand that we will need to fully disinfect the restroom after it is used for any reason other than hand washing. Please plan for this accordingly.

When your stylist is ready, you will receive a text message from (207) 424-1001. This text will ask if you have arrived and confirm that you have filled out the covid-19 release form. Please respond yes to confirm and proceed to the designated area directly in front of the entrance.

Please let us open the door for you. You will be met outside and provided with a new disposable, 3 ply surgical mask for use while receiving services at Blush. We ask that you wear this mask as we have been training with these, and feel most comfortable working around this mask style. If you would like to wear a mask other than this please contact us in advance for approval. We have decided not to accept cloth face masks as a form of protection at this time. This will be required by everyone inside of the building at all times without exceptions. If you have a medical condition preventing you from wearing a mask unfortunately, you will not be able to receive services with us until this restriction has been lifted. Thank you for understanding.

*NOTE: We are sourcing our disposable masks from a USA based company. They are produced in a FDA approved facility and do not pull from sources designated to manufacture for our frontline workers.

You will be asked the following questions before entering the building;

  • Have you had a cough or sore throat?
  • Have you had a fever or do you feel feverish?
  • Do you have shortness of breath?
  • Do you have a loss of taste or smell?
  • Have you been around anyone exhibiting these symptoms within the past 14 days?
  • Are you living with anyone who is sick or quarantined?
  • Have you been out of state in the last 14 days?

Upon answering “no” to all of the above, you will then be asked to wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds before being escorted to your sanitized service area.

Safety During Your Service

You will be draped with a clean cape at the beginning of your service. All items being used have been freshly disinfected for use during your service or are new disposable items.

*NOTE: We have always provided each client with a freshly laundered cape, clean towels, clean gloves and disinfected implements. This and many of the required disinfection procedures have always been part of standard operation at Blush.

With the exception of your stylist, a minimum 6 foot distance will remain between persons at all times.

Please do not touch your face or mask. Your mask must stay covering your nose and mouth at all times. Your stylist will remind you of these things throughout your service. If you do, you must sanitize your hands.

We cannot permit beverages or snacks at this time. Please properly hydrate prior to your appointment. In the case of an emergency, we will provide you with water in a designated area. The bottle will be disposed of prior to exiting the designated area and we will ask you to please rewash your hands.

Chemical services will be fully shampooed as many times as necessary to perform the services. The wash station will be fully sanitized and all parts contacting your skin will be covered with a disposable plastic sleeve. Since our wash stations are designed to shampoo from the back, not the side, face to face contact during shampoo is eliminated. As an added precaution, we have still installed Plexiglas barriers in the wash area and your stylist will be wearing a face shield during this portion of the service.

We will not be shampooing or rinsing your hair for non-chemical services at this time unless deemed necessary by the service provider to properly execute your haircut. Please come with your hair freshly washed and fully dried. We will not be using blow dryers for any reason at this time. This is a choice we have made after extensive research and advice from trusted professionals. This is not a state requirement, but many other states allowing hair services in phase one are enforcing this restriction, including New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Please understand that a high powered professional blow dryer can blow air up to 20 feet. During trials we have found our blow dryers can easily blow air behind a mask or move the mask out of proper positioning. We have tested this during our training and feel it is not safe at this time and is non-negotiable. This may mean your service must be split up into two days because the second portion of the service requires your hair to be dry. If you have already booked and were not told your appointment needs to be split, you do not need to contact us, you would have been notified during booking. If you have questions or concerns regarding this please contact us in advance. Thank you for understanding.

We will still be heat styling on fully dry hair, as well as offering many options for wet styling including complimentary braiding.

Your stylist has been trained extensively on all operations and has been provided with up to date information on how to reduce the transmission of Covid-19. You can expect the following measures will be taken by every Blush stylist.

We will be wearing a disposable face mask at all times. If you see us wearing a reusable covering rest assured this is for vanity purposes only and a proactive mask is underneath. Reusable coverings and disposable masks will be changed in between each client.

We will wear protective eye wear at all times.

We will wear fresh gloves for every part of your service.

We will change into a freshly laundered smock to cover our clothing for each client. We will wear a face shield while shampooing but are not required to wear it throughout your entire service. If you would like your stylist to wear a face shield during your entire service, please let us know and we will make sure to do so.

To reduce transmission we have changed our preferred payment methods. We are asking our clients to use our virtual payment system if at all possible

We are accepting cash payments but we will not be able to make change. Prepare for this accordingly. Please do not exchange cash with your stylist directly for tips or any other reason. You will be handed an envelope with your name on it in which to place your cash.

If you would like to pay with a credit card we ask that this card be on file so we can minimize handling of cards and paper receipts.
